Overview
Specifying creators for a campaign or ad group works more like Audiences on Google and Facebook than creating campaign lists on more traditional influencer marketing platforms.
On 1stCollab, a brand will create different Creator Sets. A Creator Set is a collection of creators (usually based on a particular archetype). These creator sets are then mapped to different ad groups, allowing brands to reuse creator sets across ad groups and campaigns and well as combine multiple creator sets for a specific ad group.
Creator Set Basics
Creating Creator Sets
New creator sets give you different ways of organizing creators into groups for your campaigns. There are a few ways to create a new creator set:
Go to the creator set management page. In the upper right, you’ll see a button for “New Creator Set”. Complete the flow to create a new creator set.
Perform a search in the Creator Search tool and you’ll see a button for “New Creator Set” underneath the search bar.
Saving and Activating Creators
There are two ways you can add creators into creator sets:
Activate. When you activate a creator, it means that we’ll reach out to the creator once you add the creator set to a campaign.
Save. Saving is just for you to shortlist creators you’re interested in. After you save creators, you should activate the creators whom you want to invite into your campaign.
Existing Partners
You’ll also be able to mark creators as “Existing Partners” (or "Off-Platform Creators"). We won’t reach out to creators you mark as existing partners to avoid potential confusion. You’ll be able to view your existing under Creator Sets in the Existing Partners view.
Creator Set Sourcing
There are three ways you can save or activate creators to your creator sets:
Creator Search. Our sourcing tool that has different search methods to help you find creators to add to your creator sets.
Recommendations. For creator sets where you enable recommendations, we’ll periodically send you recommendations that are similar to the creators you’ve saved or activated into the creator set.
Instant Recommendations. As of this writing, this is still an experimental feature. Similar to regular recommendations, except we're able to generate an endless set of recommendations instantly for you right after request recommendations.
Manual Upload. You’ll be able to directly upload creators into creator sets as well.
Creator Search
Access Creator Search by clicking on the Discover Creators > Creator Search menu item in the left nav. From there you’ll be given the ability to search
Search Queries
Once you start typing, autocomplete results will start to show. The following search types are supported:
Hashtag. Type a hashtag to see creators who frequently use that hashtag.
Username / Handle. Type a username to find creators who are similar to the creator you’re searching for.
Keyword. Type in a keyword (such as "AI Tools") to see creators related to your keyword.
Filters
By default, filters around median views and follower count are active, which might limit search results. You can turn these filters off by sliding the median views and follower count filters all the way to the right. Some of the filtering options supported include:
Countries. Filters by the creator’s country.
Price. Filters by price the creators charge. Note that many of these prices are estimates. We strongly advise using this filter, especially for smaller budget campaigns. The prices roughly translate to:
$: <$250
$$: $250 - $2500
$$$: $2500 - $10k
$$$$: >$10k
Sort Options
Relevance. Sorts results based on creators who are most relevant to the search query.
Frequency. Sorts results by creators who most frequently use the query hashtag.
Turning on Recommendations
Recommendations
Recommendations are turned on by default for new creator sets. To turn on recommendations go to your Creator Set management page, click on the pencil icon next to the creator set
You’ll then see a screen like the one below. Please take a few minutes to accurately fill out all the necessary fields accurately so that we’re able to source relevant creators for your creator set.
From there, make sure you toggle on “Enable Recommendations” to get recommendations.
Note: we’ll require that you first save or activate at least five creators into this creator set yourself before generating recommendations. This is so that we have some example creators to use to inform our recommendations.
Reviewing Recommendations
When new creators are ready to review, you’ll see them in "Recommendations" section of Discover Creators. You’ll also get an email with the number of creators to review in your daily digest email.
You’ll also be able to access recommendations for any creator set by clicking on the creator set at the top of the page, next to the search bar. Creator sets with new recommendations will have a notification next to the name of the creator set.
On each creator profile shown in your recommendations, you’ll see 3 buttons, of which you can take action on.
There are three possible actions you can take for each creator:
Activate. Activating the creator into the creator set. Once a creator is “activated” we’ll outreach to that creator and invite them into the campaign.
Reject. Reject the creator from the creator set. Use this option if you think the creator is irrelevant to the creator set or doesn’t meet the quality bar you have for your brand. Please leave a short blurb in the “Optional feedback” field when rejecting creators so we know the rejection reason and can improve future sourcing.
Existing Partner. If you see a creator you’re already working with, please mark them as an “Existing Partner”. By default, we won’t reach out to these creators to avoid confusion about who their point of contact is for a campaign.
You can also leave optional feedback in the text field available. This can help our team understand your reasoning behind approving or rejecting a creator-- which can improve our future recommendations to fit your criteria.
Manually Adding Creators
You can also manually add creators into a creator set. There’s a few reasons you might want to do this:
You have a creator you specifically want to work with.
You’re working with a set of creators already and want to mark them as “Existing Partners”.
You have creators who have reached out to your brand and you want 1stCollab to manage the creator.
To manually add a creator, go to your Creators page and press "Import Creator" after selecting a creator set. You can also select a creator set first and then press "Import Creator" if you want to import multiple creators into the same creator set.
From here you’ll be asked to provide the URL for a creators profile. Adding that expands the module to reveal additional fields to add. We’ll try and pre-populate as many of the fields as we can based on our data. Please only change the pre-populated fields if you clearly see a mistake.
Bulk Uploading Creators
If you have a long list of creators you want to upload into a creator set, you can also provide us with a CSV and we’ll upload the list of creators into a creator set. Please let us know which status you’d like for these uploaded creators: “Needs Review”, “Activated”, “Saved”, or "Existing Partner" as well as which creator set into which we should upload the creators.
When providing a CSV of creators, please include the following columns with these headings:

FAQs
Why do some creators not show up in Search?
Why do some creators not show up in Search?
While we do our best to allow you to find every creator on 1stCollab, there are some creators we don't index. Generally these will be creators we don't think are great fits for a partnership and include creators who meet any of the following criteria:
Have under 1,000 median views or 1,000 followers.
Haven't posted any content in the last three months.
Haven't posted at least 10 pieces of media.
Don't post in English.
Aren't active on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
Please let us know if a creator you're looking to find shouldn't be excluded. While we're actively working on indexing all creators, there are still cases we might miss out on.
Why are there so many creators to review?
Why are there so many creators to review?
When first starting a campaign, you’ll often see hundreds of creators to review, even if we plan on only getting a few dozen live. The reason is because there are many reasons why creators we reach out to might not join the campaign. Some of the reasons are explained in the list here. The primary reason to review and accept more creators is for negotiation power—being able to gather more prices from more creators allows us to only partner with the best priced, highest performing creators.

Why do I see the same creator appearing multiple times in a creator set for different platforms?
Sometimes we don’t merge a creator across platforms correctly, so they will appear as two separate creators across multiple platforms. We’re working on fixing these issues so if you see a case of a duplicate creator please let us know!
I don’t have enough time to do creator reviews. Can I still run a campaign on 1stCollab?

Mark those creators as “Existing Partner”. We won’t reach out to “Existing Partners” but we’ll use them to find similar creators for your campaign.
