Overview
Instant Recommendations are an endless feed of recommendations for a Creator Set. They are the primary ways most brands find creators to activate for their campaigns. We built Instant Recommendations to be the easiest and fastest way to evaluate creators for your campaign.
Getting Started with Instant Recommendations
Instant Recommendations are first generated using a description you write for your Creator Set. After writing a description for a Creator Set, you can click the Preview button to preview what Instant Recommendations would look like for your creator set. If you're satisfied with your recommendation, finish making your creator set. If the Instant Recommendations look off, try revising the description for your Creator Set to generate a more relevant set of candidates. Focus more on the creator content (the videos in the rep) than the actual creator.
Once you've made your creator set, you can head over to Instant Recommendations and select a relevant creator set at the top to begin reviewing your Instant Recommendations for the creator set.
Reviewing Recommendations
We've created a Tinder style interface with keyboard shortcuts to make reviewing easy. While you can still use your mouse to press buttons, we strongly encourage learning these keyboard shortcuts to make reviewing easier. As you Accept, Reject, or Save creators, our recommendations dynamically update to give you more relevant results based on your recent actions.
Filters
To filter your recommendations, click the Filter button at the top to open up a list of filter options. Note that applying a filter for a creator set will save the filter to the creator set and the filters will remain in later sessions you come back to review Instant Recommendations for that creator set.
Auto-Approving Creators
If you're finding that you're approving the majority of creators we're recommending, you might want to considering turning on auto-approvals. With auto-approvals you won't need to return to Instant Recommendations to activate new creators into your Creator Set. Instead we'll assign a member of our operations team to manually review all your Instant Recommendations based off of your Creator Set description. This option is encouraged for brands looking to make creator sets of 1000+ creators.
Improving Recommendations Quality
Tip: In case you want to preview a large batch of Instant Recommendations, go to Search and search by your creator set to see Instant Recommendations listed out in the Search interface.
You should find at least 30% of the recommendations relevant. If you're significantly under that threshold, here are a few suggestions for how to improve your Instant Recommendations:
Modify description for your creator set. You can quickly do that in the Instant Recommendations view by clicking "Modify" at the top of the view.
Reduce the filters you're applying. While we give you a number of filtering options to use in recommendations, we generally don't recommend you apply any of the filters as they might significantly decrease the number of total relevant recommendations. In practice the only filter we've really seen be critical for brands is a country filter in case the product is only available in certain countries / regions.
Activate and reject more creators. We use signal from your recent activity to help adjust our understand of your Creator Set. As you give us more engagement signal, we should be able to create a richer representation of your Creator Set, thereby generating more accurate recommendations.
Check back again later. It's possible to have exhausted all the relevant creators, especially if your Creator Set is fairly specific. We're constantly indexing new creators and content, so check back again on your recommendations in a few weeks to see a new set of creator recommendations.
