Overview
If you've set up Product Access in your Campaign Configurations, you'll get a Product Access Task every time a new creator goes into contract.
You'll get a Task like the one shown below:
Sample Product Access Task
In this Task, you'll have the ability to provide Product Access to the creator. Product Access may be required in order for the creator to fully showcase your product. Some examples of product you might want to provide creators include:
Free trial. Please provide information around how to avoid any potential subscription costs after the collaboration.
Premium subscription. Often times for a limited time (for example, a year premium subscription, etc.).
Free samples. If your brand has physical products that creators will need to have to create their content.
We'll ask creators to send over information you requested when configuring Product Access. This can include information such as:
Shipping address. In this case, we'll ask you to provide a tracking code to complete the Product Access request.
Account email address. Usually required for giving creators premium access to software products. When you've provided access to the creator, make sure to mark the Product Access Task as completed. If you've set up Product Access such that you need to provide creators with a discount code, you'll need to provide the discount code in the Product Access flow before marking the Task as complete.
Best Practices
Provide creators with the most premium version of your product. You want creators to show off the very best version of the product to users.
Include at least 30 days of access to your product. Content production can take time (especially for long-form videos), so providing creators with at least 30 days of product access ensures that creators have enough time with your product to fully make their videos.
For more complex product access needs, feel free to specify how creators should get access in the Creative Brief. For product access needs that require quite a bit of coordination (e.g. you're shipping an expensive physical product to creators and need them to return the product after filming their content), feel free to specify in the "Getting Started" section of the creative brief the full set of steps creators need to go through to get access to the product (including providing your email address so creators can reach out to you). In such cases, feel free to bypass setting up Product Access on 1stCollab.
