We use "pausing" and "ending" a campaign interchangeably. Because every campaign can always be restarted, there's not really a notion of a campaign ending.
How to Pause a Campaign
To pause a campaign:
Go to your Campaigns Overview.
Click on the pencil icon right next to the spend bar for a campaign.
Click on the "Pause Campaign" button in the upper right. You'll notice that monthly budgets starting the following month will be zeroed out.
Message us if there are any special considerations to note when pausing your campaign. Expect that there's a good chance you might get a message from us as well asking for any feedback after you campaign the campaign.
Implications of Pausing a Campaign
Campaign Ramp Down Process
When pausing a campaign, we'll need to be thoughtful about creators who are already in contract or have received a handshake offer for the campaign. Once you pause a campaign, we'll stop any future outreach and discussions with creators, however we will:
Issue agreements to creators where we have already agreed to the terms of an agreement.
Manage the completion of all creators currently in contract.
We give ourselves until the end of the following month to wrap up all the ongoing contract discussions and contracting processes.
Example
Say you paused your campaign on March 15th. You have 5 creators in contract totaling $5k of total contracts and we have 2 creators who have agreed to terms with for contracts totaling an additional $2k.
The max amount of additional payments we'd invoice you for is $5k + $2k + $1.4 (our platform fee) = $8.4k.
The final date in which a contract would be completed is April 30th.
The final invoice for your campaign would be sent to you on May 1st.
While it's always possible to restart a campaign once it's paused, the longer a campaign has been paused, the more campaign performance will suffer due to many of the original creators no longer being able to work on the campaign.
Restarting a Campaign
If you're restarting a campaign that has been paused for more than 1 month, it's strongly advised that you activate 20+ new creators into the campaign before restarting the campaign. This will help us outreach to a new batch of creators since the initial set might have gone stale.
To restart a campaign:
Go to your Campaigns Overview.
Click on the pencil icon right next to the spend bar for a campaign.
Click on the "Resume Campaign" button in the upper right. You'll then be asked to set a monthly budget for the campaign.
Click "Save" after setting the budget and your campaign will be restarted!
Reach out to us if you need to make any adjustments to your campaign parameters before restarting the campaign.
