This guide covers two things the MCP can help with early in a campaign: building out creator personas, and shaping a creative brief around your specific objective.
Each section includes sample prompts you can copy, paste, and adjust with your own details.
These prompts work best inside your campaign's Project, so Claude already has context on your brand and goals. If you haven't set one up yet, see Managing Your Brand (MCP).
Part 1: Building Creator Personas
A persona defines the type of creator you want to reach- their audience, content style, platform, and aesthetic. The MCP can help you go from a rough idea to a defined persona, then test that persona before you commit to it.
Step 1: Define the persona
Start broad and let the MCP help narrow things down. Try one of these:
"I'm running a campaign for [brand/product]. Help me brainstorm 3-4 creator persona options based on [target audience, e.g., 'busy parents in their 30s who care about clean ingredients']. For each, describe their content style, platform, and audience."
"I want creators who feel like [reference creator, brand, or vibe, e.g., 'the energy of a morning routine video, not a hard sell']. What kind of persona should I be looking for, and what should I call out in my persona description?"
"Here's my product: [description]. What creator personas would resonate with people who are already interested in [category, e.g., 'sustainable fashion']? Give me a range from niche/micro to more mainstream."
š” Tip: the more specific you are about audience, tone, and platform, the more useful the first draft will be. If Claude's suggestions feel too broad, say so and ask it to narrow in on one direction.
Step 2: Test and refine the persona
Once you have a draft persona, ask the MCP to show you what it could actually surface, before you finalize it.
"Based on this persona [insert persona name from your 1stCollab account], show me a preview of the kinds of creators this would match. Does anything seem off or too narrow?"
"What's the estimated reach for this persona? If it's low, what would I need to loosen to widen it?"
"Compare these two persona drafts from my 1stCollab account [insert persona names]. Which one is likely to surface a broader creator pool, and which is more niche?"
š” Tip: treat the preview step as a sanity check, not a final decision. It's normal to go back and forth between defining and previewing a couple of times before locking in a persona.
Persona examples by vertical
Use these as a starting point if you're not sure where to begin. Swap in your own brand details.
Tech & Apps: "Brainstorm a persona for a productivity app aimed at students and young professionals. Look for creators who post study tips, productivity setups, or 'day in my life' content with tech woven in naturally."
Beauty & Skincare: "Brainstorm a persona for a skincare brand launching a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer. Focus on creators who talk about sensitive skin, minimalist routines, or 'skinimalism.' Mix of dermatologist-adjacent voices and everyday relatable creators."
Fitness & Wellness: "Brainstorm a persona for a recovery/wellness product aimed at people who work out regularly but aren't hardcore athletes. Think home workout, walking, or mobility-focused creators rather than competitive fitness."
Food & Beverage: "Brainstorm a persona for a better-for-you snack brand. I want creators who post easy recipes, snack hauls, or 'what I eat in a day' content, not professional chefs."
Part 2: Tailoring Your Creative Brief to Your Objective
The same product can call for a very different brief depending on what you're optimizing for. Before refining your brief, it helps to name your primary objective, since it changes what the brief should emphasize (tone, call-to-action, deliverable type, pacing).
Below are sample prompts grouped by common objectives. Start with the one that matches your campaign, and adjust the bracketed details.
Brand Awareness
Emphasis: memorability, storytelling, broad appeal over hard selling.
"Here's my draft brief from my 1stcollab account. My main objective is brand awareness, not direct conversion. Adjust the brief to prioritize storytelling and memorability over a strong call-to-action."
"Suggest 3 creative directions for an awareness-focused campaign for [product]. I want people to remember the brand, not necessarily buy immediately."
Conversions & Sales
Emphasis: clear call-to-action, urgency, product benefits, trackable link/code usage.
"Analyze the brief [insert brief name] on 1stCollab. My objective is driving sales. Sharpen the call-to-action, make sure the offer/discount is clearly featured, and suggest where a promo code or link should appear in the content."
"What creative angles tend to perform well for conversion-focused campaigns in [category]? Suggest a few hooks that lead naturally into a call-to-action."
UGC & Authenticity
Emphasis: natural, low-production feel, first-person voice, believable use case.
"Analyze the brief [insert brief name] on 1stCollab. I want this to feel like authentic UGC, not a polished ad. Rewrite the tone to sound more casual and first-person, and suggest a more natural way to introduce the product."
"Suggest a few 'unboxing' or 'first impressions' style angles for [product] that would feel authentic rather than scripted."
App Installs & Sign-ups
Emphasis: clarity on the action being asked, showing the product in use, reducing friction.
"Pull my creative brief [insert brief name] on 1stCollab. My objective is app installs. Make sure the brief clearly asks creators to show the app in use and includes a clear, simple call-to-action to download."
"What's a good way to demonstrate [app feature] on camera so viewers immediately understand why they'd want to download it?"
Product Launch
Emphasis: novelty, timing, first-to-know framing, building anticipation.
"Pull my creative brief [insert brief name] on 1stCollab. This is for a product launch. Adjust the tone to emphasize that creators are getting early/first access, and suggest a hook that builds anticipation rather than just describing the product."
š” Tip: if you're not sure which objective fits, describe your goal in plain language (e.g., "I want more people to try the product for the first time") and ask the MCP which objective that maps to and how the brief should shift accordingly.
Getting Better Results: Troubleshooting Tips
If the first answer feels too generic: add more specifics: audience age range, platform, tone words (e.g., "playful," "no-nonsense," "aspirational"), or a reference creator/brand you like.
If suggestions feel repetitive: ask directly: "give me 3 more directions that are meaningfully different from these."
If you're not sure why a suggestion was made: ask the MCP to explain its reasoning; it can tell you why it chose a particular angle or persona trait.
If you like part of an answer but not all of it: say exactly which part to keep and which to change, rather than starting over from scratch.
If you're stuck between two directions: ask the MCP to lay out the tradeoffs side by side rather than picking one for you.
